Travel south from Innsbruck to Bolzano and in just 90 minutes you are in the nicest region of Italy! The Italians, Austrians and Germans all know about it, but too often English speaking tourists bypass it on the way to Venice, do not make this mistake. It is one of our favourite day trips from Innsbruck.

  • Drive into the Italian Dolomite Mountains to get a taste of these majestic peaks

  • The truly magical gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle
  • The beautiful town of Merano

Important Information

Entry cost is included to either the mountain museum, the gardens or the panorama lift in Merano city. The walk to Lake Obernbergersee is a quick, well graded, uphill stroll for approx 20 minutes. Trauttmansdorff Gardens are steep at times. Please bring your passport.

Included is pick-up and drop-off at your Innsbruck hotel plus a driver/guide who uses their experience to make sure you make the most of your day. Lunch is not included.

Minimum required per trip 3-4 persons (depending on the season and itinerary). We will quote you our best price to go alone in the event minimum numbers are not met.
