Guests from English speaking countries are our primary customers and due to Covid-19 we have had none visiting so far this summer. Being out of work is no fun and I am really missing it, the first few months were okay but now when the sun is out I really wish I was out and about with you guys!
I have been keeping busy by doing a little DIY and of course doing a few of my own trips with my wife and dog. We have enjoyed day trips to: 1) Kitzbühel – here we walked down the incredibly steep and famous ski run called the The Steif, 2) Oberbozen – situated above Bolzano in South Tyrol here we accessed this beautiful plateau by cable car and it offered incredible views of the Dolomites, 3) Lüsenstal – often part of our Innsbruck Surroundings day tour we returned here to explore the hike up to one of the mountain huts called Westfalenhaus and finally just last week we discovered something new on our own valley, 4) The Bsuchalm in Stubai, this is a lovely mountain hut easily accessible and offering great views and ice cream!
In June we we took a ten day camping holiday and explored The Danube region of Upper and Lower Austria. We started in Passau (where the River Inn finishes), a fine city and highly recommended. As we worked our way south we stopped in Schlögen, Linz, Grein and Krems – we particularly enjoyed the Wachau region famous for its vineyards and apricots. Austria is fabulous and should be explored more, but for some reason it is overlooked my non-German speaking people. I do wonder why?
Next I hope to visit Dachau concentration camp, I feel this is a must do.
